Selected Prior Work

A selection of residential project experience from Eleanor's prior-firm collaborations.

New Custom Homes

Custom homes ask for a patient balance of imagination, documentation, and construction judgment.

Eleanor's prior-firm work on new custom residences includes substantial experience with schematic design, design development, permit and construction documents, interiors coordination, and construction-phase collaboration. These projects show the discipline required to carry a house from early ideas into a highly resolved place to live, with architecture, landscape, interior detail, and craft working together.

Renovations & Additions

Much of Eleanor's residential work has been the careful transformation of existing homes.

Since 2004, a significant portion of Eleanor's practice has focused on renovations and additions in Washington, DC, including Georgetown, Logan Circle, Shepherd Park, and surrounding communities in Virginia and Maryland. These projects demand a particular kind of architectural intelligence: respect for what is already there, imagination for what the house can become, and disciplined coordination through permits, construction documents, interiors, and construction realities.
